Commitment
KeyOptions takes export controls seriously and requires that all exports of hardware, software, data, and technical services are assessed for licensing, sanctions, and end-use restrictions before transfer. This statement sets out our commitment to comply with applicable Australian, UK and international export control, sanctions and trade laws across our product ranges, including communications, counter-drone, locationing and cyber intelligence solutions.
About Our Products
KeyOptions develops and supplies a portfolio of hardware, software and analytics solutions for government, defence, security, smart-city and commercial customers worldwide. Because many of these products incorporate radio frequency processing, encryption, signal-intelligence, locationing and AI analytics capabilities, they may be subject to export controls, dual-use regulations, and sanctions regimes in one or more jurisdictions.
Our Export Control Programme
To ensure compliance we have implemented and maintain a formal export control programme that includes the following measures:
- Product classification and licensing checks — every product, software build, firmware image and technical data package is screened to determine whether an export licence, permit or authorisation is required before transfer;
- Customer, end-use and destination due diligence — customers, intermediaries and end-users are screened against UK, EU, UN and other sanctions and denied-party lists and transactions to sanctioned jurisdictions are blocked;
- Internal controls and record keeping — we maintain documented policies, export control procedures, licence application records and audit trails for all controlled transfers; and
- Training and accountability — staff with responsibility for sales, engineering, logistics and support receive regular training and are required to escalate any potential controlled transactions for legal review.
Our Position
KeyOptions will not export controlled goods, technology, software or technical assistance without first obtaining the necessary licences or authorisations from the relevant authorities. We will refuse or suspend transactions where required licences cannot be obtained, where the proposed end-use raises proliferation, security or human-rights concerns, or where the counterparty appears on a prohibited or sanctioned list.
Customer Obligations
Customers and partners are required to provide accurate end-use and end-user information and to cooperate with licence applications and compliance checks. Non-compliance with export control laws can lead to significant civil and criminal penalties for both the company and individuals; accordingly, KeyOptions treats export control compliance as a core legal and ethical obligation and will continually review and update its controls in line with evolving international trade laws.
